Better has offered home equity loans and HELOCs next to its mortgage business. Availability, CLTV, and whether the equity product is originated in-house or with a partner move around. Treat the live site as the source of what is actually open.
Mortgage refinance
Refinance — including cash-out — is the core of the shop. A cash-out refinance pays off the first mortgage and wires the difference. You keep the house and future appreciation, and you restart the first lien at a new rate and term.
Home equity investment
Better does not offer a home equity investment. No share of future value, no zero-payment equity contract.
